Happy Monday, fellow Networkians!
It is with great regret I have to announce that Dave Smith has decided to leave our family to spend more of his time with his own. Those of you who were present at his speech at the annual conference could probably sense that his heart was no longer devoted to our core mission. By the way, Carl Pathela in my team (carlrocks@networktheworld.com) is collecting witness statements to the incident for onward transmission to the police in case our deputy CEO wishes to press charges when he is discharged from the San Jose Medical facility. I also understand that Dave has entered hospital voluntarily for a short period of reflection. Product marketing are stoked that their DG87894G stood up to such a rigorous and unusual stress test though do wish to re-emphasise that all packaging in future must carry the warning that “This product is not to be inserted in any bodily orifice for any reason whatsoever”.
However, we at Network the World never focus on the past. It is with great joy that I have to announce that Mandy McBee is joining us on an interim basis as Head of UK operations. It is such a crucial three months for the company. The product launch for Codename Eric is slated for Europe next quarter and I hope I don't have to remind you how closely Wall Street will be watching the figures after that baby hits the market. Mandy is an experienced marketeer and general manager and I hope she won't mind me repeating a phrase from her outstanding cv. “Mandy's style is to see every set-back as an opportunity, every problem as permission to shine”. Wow. So like the company ethos on our website.
For now, she will be using her personal email address (as above) until IT give her a company one. Please welcome her. When you meet her make her feel part of our global family, greet her in the corridor, slap her on the back and say “Welcome friend!”
Thought for the Day...The seed of thought needs the water of action to grow.
