Liz Pile grew up on a farm in Sussex. She studied art history at London University and then worked for several art and antiques magazines. She lived in Amsterdam for four years, and more recently has worked as a freelance journalist writing about local history, architecture and gardens in London, Sussex and Kent. She has also travelled a good deal, including India, Nepal, China, Malaysia, North Africa, and Europe.
Liz has always loved books, and has written stories for as long as she can remember. She has at least three novels ‘in progress’ but for the last five years has concentrated on researching and writing ‘Two Rivers’, set in England and Mesopotamia during the First World War.
