Lyndall Henning grew up in South Africa and moved to England at the age of twelve. She has both a BA and MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University, and is currently training to become a lecturer in the subject. She enjoys writing both short stories and novels, and recently had a story published in the collaborative anthology, Open to Interpretation, by Bath Spa University, and Columbia College, Chicago. She was also a founder and editor for a young people’s magazine, Scribble. She and another student produced this magazine to be distributed to underprivileged schools in Bath and Bristol by Bath Spa University’s Widening Participation Department in the third year of her BA. Lyndall’s Masters manuscript is an autobiographical story about growing up as one of four sisters in South Africa in the 1990s. It depicts the struggles, hopes and experiences of one family trying to come to terms with a changing country and the big decisions they are forced to make. She hopes to get this book published in the next few years and is now working on a historical fantasy novel aimed at young adults.
