Canadian twenty-something Kayt Lackie sold her first play at fourteen-years-old and has been producing drama, prose and poetry ever since. In addition to writing, Kayt is a multi-instrumentalist and operatically-trained soprano, having studied music at the University of Western Ontario and Royal Conservatory of Music. She has worked in publishing, graphic design, business and computer programming. Through multimedia writing, Kayt combines her passions with her preoccupations, which include religion, modern warfare, sexuality, and digital-age identity theories. The results are modern, eclectic works that counterpoint tongue-in-cheek humour with ferocity, with rhapsody, and with stillness.

Kayt currently lives in Northern Ontario, Canada in what resembles an igloo but which is, in fact, an average bungalow encased in ice and snow. She is the coordinator of the local arts roundtable and also teaches singing, acting and instrumental music at Suite Music studio.

Multimedia work
Ameratat is comprised of a traditional novel, integrated graphic stories and an interactive website, and deals with the psycho-social landscape of online gaming. It follows both the real and virtual lives of five gamers.
