Heidi Beck is a transplanted American who has lived in the UK for more than a decade. She grew up in New Hampshire, in the small town that was fictionalised into Peyton Place, which may explain why she became a writer. She holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Chicago, and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. The Fairy Shop is her second completed novel. She lives with her two children in a village near Bath.
