Daniel was born in Oxford and raised amongst a community of writers, musicians, and status anxiety sufferers. To support his writing over the years he has worked a plethora of unbelievably menial jobs. These different aspects of his upbringing have, somewhat inevitably, become the basis for much of his writing. His hope is to appeal to that demographic busy watching DVD’s or down the pub, that of men aged between 18-35. Daniel has spent the last few years living in New York. His experiences in the Big Apple are yet to feature in his work. They were, however, weird enough they’re almost bound to creep in sooner or later. He would just like to thank the staff at Bath Spa for letting him do the MA without having done a BA in anything else first. It gave the years spent playing pool and trying to be a writer some much needed validation. He found the course invaluable in developing his writing skills, and even if too much critique is a fast-track to mental illness, at least the voices in your head will have something useful to say regarding structure, character development or the effective use of symbolism in contemporary literature.
